THE THEATER Festivals IN LATIN AMERICA


If exist in Latin America, show more human than no others, is the Theatre. In this year is coming together theatre organization’s and collectives groups in scenic arts, so creative and artistic; as soon we see now is growth a positive explosion in the dramatic arts (scenic, mixes arts, acrobat theatre, circus theatre, muppet theatre, dance, etc.) in our countries, all with the support of the different institution (government, cultural association) to realize a Festival of Theatre. In the 2011 a lot of these Festival has congregate a thousand of assistant and many actors, directors, producer and dramatic playwriting. Also it’s for me some difficult to mention completely all the Festival of Theatre that actually its on the Latin American showroom all over the year, but is important the opening to cultural exchange that allows the nations increase their perception about the contemporary theatre aesthetics.
All Festivals that had more media information, media relevance may I say, are the International Theatre Festival of each country realize, some are annual other biannual, but in Colombia there are so many festivals in almost all their regions. Some of the most important are: Festival of Havana, Cuba; The FITE of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; The FIDAE of Uruguay; The MERCOSUR Festival, Argentina; The Festival of Asunción –FITA-, Paraguay; also are in Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Perú, Venezuela, México, and in Central America. Also exists Alternative or Independent Theatre Festival in all Latin America that are very interesting and creative in experimental proposal. The only who can make this explosion in dramatic arts keep growing, and maintain these great and diversity in shows, is the spectator, for who (like we say in Latin America) the “teatrer@” (actors, directors, playwritings) make Theatre.
